Prairie Peddler Festival (Butler, Ohio)

If you love fall in Ohio, Prairie Peddler is one of those events you need to experience at least once. And then you’ll understand why people come back year after year. More than 220 juried makers take over the woods outside Butler, Ohio for two weekends, right when Ohio is starting to show off a little. You’re walking wooded paths, shopping incredible small businesses, listening to live music, taking a horse-drawn wagon ride and eventually making your way to a food court with nearly 30 food vendors.

And yes. You should come hungry.

This is not a run-in-for-an-hour kind of show. Wear comfortable shoes, bring your people and plan to spend the day. There’s a lot to see, a lot to eat and some seriously talented makers tucked throughout those woods.

And I make us VERY easy to find. Trisha’s Elderberries is Booth #81—the second-to-last booth on the LEFT before you hit the food court. Dark blue – can’t miss.

So basically, follow your stomach and stop right before you get there. We’ll be pouring samples all weekend, and if you’ve never tried our elderberry products before, please come taste them before you decide what you think elderberry syrup tastes like.

Because if the only elderberry you’ve had is thick, sticky and ridiculously sweet, we need to talk. Ours isn’t. Our syrups are juice-like, beautifully balanced and actually taste like the ingredients they’re made from. We’ll have our elderberry syrups, sipping vinegars, culinary concentrates and plenty of opportunities for you to taste your way through them. Ask questions. Compare them. Find your favorite. This is exactly why I still love doing events in person.

Prairie Peddler is absolutely worth the drive. The woods, the makers, the food, the changing leaves—it’s just a damn good way to spend a fall day in Ohio.
