There are many elderberry gummies available online that you can choose from, but be forewarned that their labels contain some of the most harmful ingredients that contradict the process of getting better.

Here is a list of reasons why elderberry syrup is better and more effective than gummies.

Gummies are loaded with sugars

When it comes to sugars, gummies are loaded with harmful ingredients that prevent the body from healing. The types of sugars that fill gummies include tapioca syrup, pecan, sucrose, polydextrose, glucose, high fructose corn syrup, cane syrup, and more!

Excessive consumption of sugars leads to inflammation, and inflammation leads to chronic illness and disease.

General consumption of sugars is not healthy for your body. Scientific studies point out that there are significant links between sugar consumption and increases in fat1, as well as links between sugar consumption and the development of diabetes.

Gummies are filled with junk

Filler ingredients provide no additional value to any health product. This is especially true with elderberry gummies.

For example, if you were to go up on Amazon and search for elderberry gummies, you would quickly see just how many filler ingredients dominate the listings. Fillers include artificial colors, artificial flavors, waxes, oils, glazes, carrageenan3, and other chemicals.

These filler ingredients will strain your digestive system, which is the most sensitive part of your immune system!

The misconception about gummies, especially when we discuss vitamin and elderberry gummies, is that they can be treated like candy. Taking too many gummies will lead to an overdose, and it is possible to do that. This is definitely true with vitamin gummies.

Elderberry Gummies are quick to expire

When you put homemade elderberry syrup in a glass jar and store it in the refrigerator, you are preserving the life of that syrup.

In comparison, elderberry syrup gummies have a short shelf life.

Even if you do it right and store them in the fridge, the most clean-ingredient gummies will only last 2 to 3 weeks at the longest.

On the flip side, if the elderberry gummies are 100% shelf stable, then that means they are loaded with preservatives.

If the elderberry gummies you purchase are not shelf stable and are left on the shelf for too long, they will harden and become inedible.

Nobody wants inedible food sitting on their shelves, so it stands to reason why we should be skeptical about gummies.

Elderberry gummies are extremely expensive

Purchases of elderberry syrup gummies have proven not to be wise investments.

When you go online and purchase products, you will notice how high the prices are for elderberry syrup gummies.

Garden of Life mykind Organics Elderberry Gummies costs $23.12 on Amazon, which is hardly a bargain.

Airborne Elderberry + Zinc & Vitamin C Gummies For Kids costs $33.77 on Amazon, and it is not a bargain because of its unnecessarily added ingredients like sugar, tapioca syrup, citric acid, and sodium citrate.

One last example is Ohh..Organic Black Seed Oil and Elderberry Gummies, which costs $26.99 on Amazon. This product also has tapioca syrup, citric acid, and sodium citrate along with organic cane sugar and “natural preservatives”, which is a bit of an oxymoron.

Coupled with either questionable or harmful ingredients, these elderberry gummies are not worth their prices.

Bottom Line

Is elderberry syrup better and more effective than elderberry gummies? Even if you are hesitant to get elderberry syrup, there are many reasons why you should not consider buying any commercial brand elderberry syrup gummies. The combination of unhealthy ingredients, their quick expiration process, and the expensive prices you pay for them make elderberry gummies unreliable.

Homemade elderberry syrup is clearly a better option because it doesn’t contain non-organic sweeteners, it lasts longer in the fridge, and it won’t cost you a king’s ransom to make. That is what our products abide by when you shop at our store; edible elderberry syrup products that have no junk ingredients, and are completely safe and healthy to consume on a regular basis.
