Our Premier Elderberry Syrup is intentionally crafted with fewer ingredients — not for simplicity, but for precision. Every component serves a purpose: to highlight the clean tartness of the elderberry, the depth of aronia, the warmth of true Ceylon cinnamon, and the smooth complexity of locally harvested honey.

Flavor Composition

Each spoonful unfolds in layers. The double-berry blend is bright & bold, revealing the complexity behind its seemingly minimalist formulation.

• Organic Acids — citric and malic acids create the recognizable tartness, that crisp, slightly astringent brightness found in blackcurrant or tart cherry.

• Phenolic Compounds — including flavonols and phenolic acids like quercetin and chlorogenic acid, lend depth, balance sweetness, and anchor the flavor in a clean, earthy finish.

• Volatile Aromatic Compounds — linalool, geraniol, hexanal, and eugenol build the aromatic signature: floral lift, fresh green top notes, and warm spice undertones.

• Raw Local Honey — provides more than sweetness. Its floral nectar tones and natural enzymes smooth the berry’s acidity, rounding sharp edges and amplifying the syrup’s body. The result is a luxurious texture — fluid, not sticky — that coats the palate with balance rather than weight.

Aronia Integration

Organic aronia (chokeberry) reinforces the backbone of this blend.
Rich in flavonols like kaempferol and quercetin, and phenolic acids such as chlorogenic and neochlorogenic acid, aronia introduces the subtle astringency and dry, “wine-like” finish that defines our Premium blend. Procyanidins and tannins add grip and structure, making this syrup feel as intentional as a fine vintage.

Ceylon Cinnamon Distinction

Only true Ceylon cinnamon — not cassia — earns its place here.
Its lower cinnamaldehyde concentration keeps the flavor clean and soft, while eugenol contributes clove warmth, and linalool and benzyl benzoate impart delicate floral and honeyed notes. Trace coumarin ensures a pure, smooth finish without bitterness. Ceylon is the refined spice — elevating rather than overpowering.

What makes our syrups different:

• We focus on taste & texture that the whole family will enjoy. Our syrups are delicious & velvety smooth. Never thick, gooey, syrupy or mouth-puckering.
• Never juiced. The secrets and richness of the elderberry fruit are contained in the skin and pomace, extracted through a water decoction process.
• Never 'cold pressed'. Backed by science, to extract the fullness of what the elderberry fruit has to offer using a controlled gentle heat application is require. Otherwise, left behind in the cold pressed juicing process.
• Gently sweetened with unfiltered local honey, direct from the apiary.
• Whole berries & spices. For elevated textures, we never use powered ingredients in our syrups.
