Trisha’s Story

Trisha Jackson, Trisha's Elderberries

Plagued with migraines, panic attacks, and anxiety, the sick care system had been failing me for well over a decade. In 1999, I began studying aromatherapy and herbalism to experiment with plants and plant extracts to manage the post-graduation dread of “what am I going to do with the rest of my life?”

As a perfectionist and go-getter, I quickly climbed the corporate  ladder into senior positions, early on in my career. With that kind of ascension came overwhelming responsibility and my stress levels soared so high, for so long, that I soon found myself plagued with an autoimmune disease, adrenal fatigue, leaky gut and a host of other medical issues that the allopathic community just couldn’t get right.  couldn’t figure out with a set of pharmaceutical cocktails were too much for my body. I was exhausted.  I needed better, faster, more effective ways to take care of myself with simple, easy to use tools.

In 2009 with the birth of our daughter in the height of the H1N1 epidemic,  I knew it was time to make big changes to our lifestyle.  Already knee deep into aromatherapy and in the throws of protecting our immune systems, I created a simple herbal recipe for our family. When I returned to work after maternity leave, I started moonlighting, teaching other moms about how to create simpler solutions for their families, too.   What started out as freezer meal workshops turned into teaching herbalism, environmental detoxing, and how to regain control over their mental and physical health in more holistic ways.

In the winter months, I decided to package up my dried herbs and put sticky notes into ziplock bags, giving them to women as gifts for coming to my workshops.  Little did I know it, a glimmer of Trisha’s Elderberries began to shine.

A few years later, I grew a thriving natural health business in private health coaching, an online health coaching membership and selling DIY elderberry syrup kits to friends and family.

In 2017, it was GO TIME, full time. I hung up those corporate heels and as they say, the rest is history.  Trisha’s Elderberries is here to stay.

I’m so glad you’re a part of our natural health community.

Best in health,

Trisha
